Marissa Watkin is a professional in Waterloo Region working as a Consultant with IG Wealth Management (IG). After graduating from Conestoga College with her Bachelor of Public Relations degree, she knew that she wanted to work with people in her community and build connections through communication. Since receiving her degree, she has worked in the financial and tourism industries creating digital content, marketing brands, and completing detail-oriented administrative work.

Marissa started her journey with IG in 2012 when she became an Assistant. Over the years, she has worked part-time while completing her degree, two co-op positions, and exploring jobs in marketing; little did she know the opportunity to combine her education and experience was right in front of her all along. After seeing firsthand the impact that financial planning has on so many people, Marissa worked hard to earn her Mutual Funds Certification and Life Insurance License so that she could help young professionals, like herself, invest in their futures. Marissa knows how important it is to deliver superior customer service and customized planning for each and every client she meets on her journey and looks forward to meeting new people along the way – almost always over a drink and a delicious dish.
